On our adventurous camel treks, we will show you some of Wadi Rum’s best-kept secrets and least-visited sites. Our tours include narrow canyons, sand dunes, natural rock arches and many picturesque spots and views. We will also take you away from the crowds, where all you will hear is the silence of the desert.
Our tours begin at around 9.30 am or as soon as you arrive at the Wadi Rum Village. You will have tea at our family house before we embark on our camel trek. Although we have pre-selected for you the best itinerary, our routes are completely flexible depending on your own tastes and desires.
All tours besides our half-day tour include meals, plenty of water, tea, English-speaking guides, and sleeping equipment for overnight trips. It would be good to bring a torch, warm clothing during winter, sunscreen, and a hat.
Our jeep tours allow you to visit the most sites in the least amount of time as well as reaching some of the far-away attractions of Wadi Rum and beyond Even on our shorter jeep tours, you will visit scenic canyons, soaring jabaal, rock arches, sand dunes and Nabatean sites and you will see nice views.
Our longer jeep tours take you to some of the least-visited spots in Wadi Rum while giving you a deeper, more memorable experience in the desert that includes visiting traditional Bedouin families who have kept the nomadic lifestyle passed down for thousands of years. Although we have planned our tours with great care, we welcome your input and are always happy to discuss custom routes.
To begin your jeep tours, we’ll pick you up upon your arrival at the Wadi Rum Village and take you to our house in Wadi Rum village, where we’ll discuss your route over tea and, time permitting, visit the nearby Shalalla Spring and the 2,000-year-old Nabatean Temple, a one-hour round-trip walk from our house.
All tours besides our the two, four and five-hour Jeep tours include cooked meals, while ALL jeep tours include plenty of water, tea, English-speaking guides, jeep and sleeping equipment in our camp for overnight trips. Our camp is equipped with large private tents, a modern bathroom with Wester-style toilets and water. BRING: Torch, camera, warm clothing in winter, sleeping bag (optional), sunscreen and a good hat.
Wadi Rum is one of the most spectacular deserts in the world, and certainly the perfect choice if you want to go hiking! We know how to get far from the crowds, where all you will hear is the silence of the desert.
We want you to get the best possible experience, which is why out of the numerous places in the Wadi Rum desert, we have selected for you hikes with the most spectacular views, which at the same time are interesting to go up. Even on the way up, you will already enjoy the most beautiful surroundings. They are the most adventurous as well as picturesque hikes. We have both easy, and more challenging routes for you, so whatever your preference, be assured you will find it with us. We offer tours for walking, hiking, and scrambling, and there is something suitable for everyone’s fitness level. Our hikes include Burdah Mountain, Um Adami, and Al Hash, all of which you can book as part of a one-day tour, as well as a two-day option.
All our hiking tours are done in combination with jeep tours. The hikes are located on very different sides of the desert, hence it will be most convenient for you to reach there quickly by jeep, so you can save your energy for going up the mountain. Moreover, it will give you the chance to see other places too, like narrow canyons, ancient inscriptions, sand dunes, etc. where we will stop on the way.
If you choose the two-day option, additionally to the main hike, you will get to see yet many more breathtaking places in Wadi Rum desert, which would not be possible to cover all in one day.
At night, when the desert is at its most silent and the stars become a glowing blanket in the clear sky, when the gentle desert breeze blows free of any pollution, you will feel something unique. This is the moment when you will understand the real meaning of the desert for the Bedouin people and why they resist the hardships of such complex landscape to continue living in this magical place.
Sleep Under the Stars Tours will give you a realistic experience and full of insights about the Bedouin life. During the day, we will show you spectacular views and the major sites in the Wadi Rum desert. Before sunset, while we still have daylight, we will look for an appropriate place to set up camp and spend our night under the stars. Setting the fire is a crucial factor, because we will then proceed to prepare the food and make Bedouin tea. After dinner, we will sit around the fire to exchange a good conversation, tell you about our Bedouin culture, customs, traditions and all about the desert.
Fall asleep under the open night sky, while gazing at stars and/or the moon with a beautiful background of desert and rocks. Enjoy the peacefulness and calmness even more than at the camp. Wake up in the morning by the natural sunlight and enjoy the beautiful colours and shades the early morning sun casts on the mountains.
All food, water, and sleeping gear is included. You should bring torch, sunscreen, hat, and warm clothing in winter.
